Increase Your Dial-Up Connection speed

WARNING: THIS TUTORIAL MAY DESTROY YOUR MODEM!
This Tutorial will be about making your dial-up a little tiny bit faster, which is considered, "High Speed" ....The ten easy steps to a fast Connection:

1. Click On your Start Menu.
2. Open Your Control Panel.
3. Open the 'Phone and Modem options' (windows XP users will have to switch to classic view on the Left Hand Side to view this option).
4. Select the Modems Tab.
5. Select your Modem and click on 'Properties'.
6. Click on the 'Advanced' tab.
7. You will then see a box that says 'Advanced Settings'. Under this there is a text box that says 'Extra Initialization commands'.
8. In That text box put:
&AX&FX
just as you see it in the text.
9. Click OK to close the box.
10. Click OK again (if &AX&FX doesn't work try AT&FX).

now check your Connection. It should be very fast.
